	I regret to report that do to an extremely full calendar these past two 
weeks (my new car broke down, I've been trying to maintain my tan, and I had to 
prepare for an outrageous Super Bowl party-you're invited!), I will not be 
handing in assignment #1 on time.  I am sure that you appreciate the pressure I 
have been under and, since you have nothing to do but sit in your office anyway, 
I feel certain that you will accept my assignment whenever I get around to 
handing it in.  If there is a problem, please leave a message on my answering 
machine.
